Larry A. Silverstein is a real estate legend best known for leading the rebuilding of the World Trade Center and helping to revitalize Lower Manhattan following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. He is the Founder and Chairman of Silverstein Properties, one of New York City’s most respected privately held real estate development, investment, and management firms that has developed, owned, and managed more than 45 million square feet of office, residential, hotel, and retail space.
At the center of Larry’s life and career is his wife, Klara, whose partnership and support have shaped both his personal journey and professional success. Married for more than 70 years, Larry and Klara have built a close-knit family with three children, one son-in-law, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Three members of the next generation now serve as executives at Silverstein Properties, continuing the family’s multigenerational leadership of the firm.
