One River Place is a 41-story tower containing, with 921 luxury residential rental units, a 35,000-square-foot state-of-the-art health club with glass enclosed 25-yard pool, two outdoor tennis courts, a basketball court, party room, workout facilities and sundecks. Designed by Costas Kondylis, the building also has 40,000 square feet of retail shops, including a dry cleaner, deli and a Lucky Strike bowling entertainment center.
A luxury residential complex located between 41st and 42nd Streets along 12th Avenue, One River Place has a unique presence in Midtown Manhattan. Steps away from the Hudson River, River Place is also close to the vibrancy of Times Square, Theater District and Hell's Kitchen. River Place commuters have immediate access to cross town buses and citywide train lines.
One River Place is the first phase of the residential complex planned for the area. In 2009, Silverstein Properties will open Silver Towers at River Place, a second luxury rental building located on the eastern portion of the site. Also designed by Kondylis, Silver Towers is two 60-story residential towers connected by a six-story base with a mix of market rate apartments, corporate housing and moderate and low income units. A 25,000-square-foot landscaped public park will separate the two buildings.
