Silverstein Properties has been at the forefront of environmental sustainability since 1980, when the firm installed the first co-generation system in a Manhattan office tower, 11 West 42nd Street. In 2008, SPI installed a co-generation system in its residential building, River Place I.  In its existing properties and developments, SPI continues to implement eco-friendly building operations and construction and ways to reduce waste as well as to promote energy efficiency and conserve utilities and natural resources.

From existing buildings to designs in progress, from energy efficiency to earth-friendly cleaning products, Silverstein Properties is committed to incorporating environmentally friendly business practices throughout its operations.
