Executive Team

Josh Shapiro, Senior Associate of Acquisitions, is responsible for the acquisition efforts on behalf of Metro Fund - a joint venture with the California State Teachers' Retirement System (CALSTRS).  He is responsible for the sourcing, underwriting and due diligence for all acquisitions of the firm. 

Prior to joining Silverstein, Mr. Shapiro worked at Wafra Investment Advisory Group as a member of the Asset Management team overseeing the firm's $1.4 billion real estate portfolio.  Prior to Wafra, Mr. Shapiro worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the Financial Advisory Services Group providing consulting services to clients in the real estate industry. 

Mr. Shapiro received a Master of Science in Real Estate Finance from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan.  He lives with his wife and son on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
